Duvall is an award-winning actress who has worked together with director Robert Altman in the 1970s. In the 1980s, she found interest in producing TV programs for children and youth. This includes the folklore anthology show Tall Tales & Legends, which she created and hosted. She appeared in the movie Brewster McCloud in 1970, Thieves Like Us in 1974, and Nashville in 1975.
