JOANNE WOODWARD | 92
Joanne Woodward has a timeless beauty that makes us want to see her movies back in the day once again. Her performance in the mystery drama The Three Faces of Eve established her name as Hollywood A-lister. For the role, she garnered the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. Aside from that, Woodward’s career, which spanned over six decades, earned her a huge amount of film credits. With that, she was able to garner multiple nominations and awards.
She received four Oscar nominations, ten Golden Globe Award nominations, and nine Primetime Emmy Award nominations. She took home one Oscar award, three Golden Globes, and three Emmys. Her stardom expanded her career to the point that she had to quit school. But what we adore the most is the fact that she went back to college, earned her degree at age 60, graduated with her daughter, and her late husband, actor Paul Newman, delivered the commencement speech. Sadly, such an elegant lady is no more active in the film industry.
